Maj. Gen. P.K. Shrivastava
Maj Gen P K Shrivastava was commissioned in the Indian Army in the elite Corps of Engineers in June 1988. He hails from Jabalpur MP, where after the completion of his schooling, he did his engineering from Government Engineering College Jabalpur. He has done his M Tech from IIT Delhi . During his career of over 35 years ,he has served in all types of terrains from Siachen Glacier to Down South (Chennai), from Western Deserts to far Northeast. He has participated in most of the operations right from Sri Lanka to Kargil. For his outstanding services he was awarded AOC-in-C’s Commendation card in 1994 and DGQA Commendation Card in 2005 Maj Gen P K Shrivastava is an expert in Nuclear, Biological and Chemical Warfare and Protection and is a renowned speaker on the subject. He is a certified Radiation Safety Officer from BARC Mumbai. He was posted as Instructor in the College Of Military Engineering Pune where he taught Civil Engineering to Army Officers. He regularly writes papers on Nuclear, Biological and Chemical Warfare, Effects and Protection in Defence publications. Maj Gen P K Shrivastava recently retired from Controllerate of Quality Assurance (Ammunition) Khadki where he was heading the establishment. He is presently working as Advisor to a number of firms. Continuing with the tradition of serving the nation his daughter has been commissioned in The Indian Navy and is serving in a Naval Aviation Unit in Goa.
